Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Lanford Wilson’s searing drama of a young man as he rediscovers the father who abandoned him ten years earlier. Set in southern California, told in flash back, the drama recounts a summer in the late Fifties as the son tries to re-establish family ties only to discover that past abuses, painful memories make reconciliation an impossibilty. The film features innovative visual techniques, as well as brilliant performances by a stellar cast. Winner of the Special Jury Prize at the Sundance Film Festival.
